Christmas Away Special

23rd - 27th December 2009

Wednesday - Our outward journey includes a visit to Stratford upon Avon for lunch of your choice and time at leisure. An afternoon arrival at the hotel offers you time to settle in and prepare for the festive fun. Your Christmas break starts with a pre-dinner welcome drink. An excellent three course dinner awaits followed by dancing accompanied by the resident DJ.

Christmas Eve: After a full English breakfast, we visit Tamworth, a historic market town steeped in history with time for last minute shopping. We return to the hotel in time for lunch then enjoy games or just relax. Afternoon drinks will be served and later enjoy a three course dinner and a special Christmas Eve quiz. Mulled wine and mince pies will be served late to warm those returning from Midnight Mass.

Christmas Day: Begin the special day with a leisurely breakfast and then join the competition to guess the weight of the Christmas cake. Later don your party hats and enjoy a full Christmas lunch with all the usual trimmings, including a visit from you know who! After lunch find out who won the Christmas cake competition and enjoy a slice while watching the Queen’s Speech. The evening festivities begin with the Christmas day buffet, then saddle up for an evening at the races or a game of prize bingo.

Boxing Day - Following a hearty breakfast, we visit the Great Central Railway to enjoy a nostalgic steam train ride. Enjoying more country scenery we return to the hotel for a light lunch. A farewell dinner is served this evening, followed by entertainment and dancing to end your festive break.

Sunday: Enjoy your breakfast before biding farewell to our hosts before we commence our homeward journey when we shall break for morning coffee at Moreton in Marsh. An extended lunch break is to be enjoyed at the Cotswold town Burford. Your Christmas away special is concluded by returning you home safely.

Ideally located to suit our tour proposal. A Grade II listed William and Mary Mansion, set in 11 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, Bosworth Hall offers luxury guest rooms. The imposing sweep of the hall’s main staircase is enhanced by magnificently carved banisters.
