The Cologne Christmas Special

Thursday - An early start today as we head for the Port of Dover to board a ferry for the Port of Calais. Relax on board before the onward journey with ample comfort stops to our base in the heart of Cologne. Arriving in time for early evening dinner, there may even be time for the more adventurous to explore the Christmas Markets at night.

Friday - After a relaxed start to the day, you’ll enjoy a completely free day to come and go as you please. Cologne offers seven Christmas Markets in total. Among them are four large Christmas Markets, the Cologne Cathedral, the Alter Markt, the Neumarkt and the Rudolfplatz, all attracting excited visitors with many attractions. There is also an interesting Medieval Market in front of the Chocolate Museum which features many local performances. Meet at our hotel for evening dinner.

Saturday - After breakfast, we invite you to join us for a ½ day excursion to the nearby town of Dusseldorf which also features its own vibrant and popular Christmas Market. This evening, your meal is of your choice to suit both your budget and taste so keep an eye out during the day to book your favourite restaurant from the many popular venues in the city. Alternatively, you may care relax and unwind and book a table at our hotel to end a great day.

Sunday - Today we say farewell to our host and commence our journey home. With ample comfort stops en-route, we make for the Port of Calais to board a ferry to the Port of Dover then finalise the journey home to arrive during mid evening. An adventurous and fun filled weekend comes to a close. We know you’ll enjoy it!

The Novotel Koln City is a 4 star hotel situated in the centre of Cologne close to the exhibition centre and the old town and within easy walking distance of all 7 markets. All rooms have private facilities, air conditioning, mini bar, tv, radio and hairdryer. There is also a restaurant, bar, fitness room and sauna.
