GOODWOOD HOUSE & AFTERNOON TEA
Sunday 25th October 2020
What could be more enjoyable than the ritual of afternoon tea? Our day starts in the city of Winchester with time for refreshments and leisure then a scenic cross-country ride to our tour highlight. Set in the heart of the idyllic Sussex Downs, the picturesque Goodwood Estate provides a stunning backdrop to the glorious Regency House, still lived in by the Earl and Countess of March and their family.
There follows a guided tour of Goodwood House, where the richly coloured State Apartments offer you a unique insight into the history of Goodwood House, which has been the family home of the Dukes of Richmond for over 300 years. The knowledgeable and friendly guides, each with their own individual flair, will provide a memorable guided tour featuring the novelty of the Egyptian Dining Room and the glamour of the Yellow Drawing Room.
As you enjoy the wonderful collection of art, the guides will illuminate the extraordinary lives of the Dukes of Richmond.
Enjoy then, an array and a selection of sandwiches, cakes, pastries and traditional English scones in the magnificent Ballroom.
