THE WYE VALLEY, SYMONDS YAT CRUISE & PLOUGHMAN’S LUNCH

Featuring the Wye Valley, Ploughman’s lunch and a 45-minute cruise. Sit back, and soak up the surrounding sights whilst the experienced captain navigates you through some of the most wonderful scenery in Britain.

Leaping salmon, peregrine falcons and mink are all regularly sighted, although the local otters are a little more elusive! You’ll overlook the rapids where the backdrop of views extends over three counties.

Our first tour highlight is Bourton on the Water, a charming village, known as the Venice of the Cotwolds. It’s known for its low bridges and traditional stone houses. The Cotswold Motoring Museum features vintage cars and a toy collection. Birdland is home to species including parrots, owls and king penguins, plus life-size model dinosaurs. The Model Village is a 1930s scale replica of the village.

Our mystery extravaganza offers two tour highlights that will be both different and interesting.

Set within the beautiful countryside, our first location offers many historic buildings that offer a taste of nostalgia and a working historic farm. It is a popular venue for filming and has been used for Downton Abbey, Mary Queen of Scots, Call the Midwife, Horrible Histories, Midsomer Murders, The Suspicions of Mr Whicher, Grantchester, Drunk Histories and many more. Before departure, a Ploughman’s lunch is to be enjoyed.

Our special visit starts with a Red Funnel cruise from Southampton to East Cowes then the short journey to Osborne House. You’ll open the doors to the once private world of Queen Victoria and her family at Osborne. Victoria’s holiday home remains largely untouched, providing intimate details of Royal life during the 19th century. You can even dip your toes in the water of the queens favourite beach and explore the vast estate where Victorian garden parties were a regular occurrences.

Enjoy our annual after-dark festivities with family and friends, as you discover sparkling tunnels of light, dancing waterside reflections, and trees drenched in jewel-like colour on your way to the panoramic Palm House light display.

Journey through the mesmerising flickering flames in the Fire Garden, spot larger-than-life illuminations and say hello to Father Christmas along the way. Along the route, our delicious independent street food vendors will offer tasty festive delights, from hot food and sweet treats to spiced winter warmers and hot chocolate.

A Christmas Markets hosted by Cotswold Markets and Cirencester Town Council. Enjoy a festive shopping experience in beautiful Cirencester and enjoy and explore the courtyards and shopping mews. Located in Gloucestershire, Cirencester is the city of Roman origin, one of the oldest in the country. The Romans called it Corinium Dobunnorum and it was an important seat of markets.

A strictly magical star cast has been announced with Craig Revel Horwood as The Wicked Stepmother and Debbie McGee as The Fairy Godmother in Mayflower Theatre’s pantomime for 2021 – Cinderella. With over 50,000 theatregoers attending each festive season it’s never too early to book for next year’s show!

MILLETS FARM CENTRE & WELFORD PARK SNOWDROPS

Situated on the edge of the Cotswolds, a warm welcome awaits at the Farmhouse Kitchen Restaurant to serve you lunch of your choice. Also, on site and in addition, you can enjoy the garden centre, a large Farm Shop and a Craft Shop. The Snowdrop Walk at Welford Park offers a walk around the Beech Woods, at a sedate pace, enjoying the amazing spread and scent of the flowers and the formal garden. There are special marked paths and one section of river path can be accessed through a kissing gate.
